Abstract - scaricare il file per l'appunto completo Born in London in 1879, the son of an architect, Edward Morgan Forster studied
at King’s College, Cambridge and after leaving university, he travelled in I taly and Greece with his mother. His first novel, Where Angels Fear to Tread, was published in 1905 and was followed in quick succession by The Longest Journey and A Room with a View, but it was the publication of Howard’s End  in 1910, which was to confirm Forster as one of the major novelists of his time. In 1921 Forster went to India which he had visited for the first time in 1912, and there immersed himself in the country’s culture and religions. Upon his return to England he completed his most famous novel, A Passage to India (1924), which he had begun writing during his first visit to the country.
